GORDON CONWAY SITS ON A HIGH-LEVEL PANEL ON GENDER, CLIMATE CHANGE AND AGRICULTURE

Gordon Conway sat on a panel at the Seminar and High-Level Panel on “Gender, Climate Change and Agriculture” in Paris, hosted by the CGIAR Research Programme on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS), the International Social Science Council (ISSC) and Future Earth, the global research platform for environmental change research.

The Panel is linked to the series of international events leading to the Paris Conference of Parties (COP21) of the climate convention (UNFCCC), and is taking place a day after the close of the Conference on Climate-Smart Agriculture in Montpellier. Ideas emerging from the Panel will be fed into two processes of the UNFCCC – the discussions on agriculture under the technical body (SBSTA) and the workshop proposed for the Lima work programme on gender.
