The latest report from the expert Montpellier Panel, Growth with Resilience, Opportunities in African Agriculture, lays out a vision of agricultural growth for Sub-Saharan Africa that is resilient—able to withstand and recover from stresses and shocks. The report offers specific recommendations for building resilient agriculture, resilient people, and resilient markets to inform discussions related to key policy events in 2012. It looks broadly at agriculture’s role in supporting green growth, food and nutrition security, ecosystem services, and climate change mitigation and adaptation, among other topics. The event will feature a presentation by the Montpellier Panel’s Chair, Sir Gordon Conway.
