The Montpellier Panel attended the AGRF conference in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for the Africa launch of the latest Montpellier Panel Report ‘Small & Growing: Entrepreneurship in African Agriculture‘.
Dr Ousmane Badiane, Montpellier Panel member and Africa director for the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) was quoted for a BBC report ‘Sowing the seeds for Africa’s green revolution‘, about the AGRF conference and the launch of the report. He highlighted that farmers do not have access to much-needed training to develop their skills and knowledge stating that “if there was one thing for nations to do, it would be to find a way of mainstreaming access to vocational and professional training.”
