Katy Wilson joined Imperial College London in August 2010 and worked with Gordon Conway on his book “One Billion Hungry: Can we feed the world?”

She currently researches, writes and edits the One Billion Hungry website and works with the team around the theme of sustainable intensification. She has previously worked at the Institute for International Research in New York and volunteered at Harnas Wildlife Foundation in Namibia.

She has an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Cambridge on reconciling food security and biodiversity conservation goals in Uganda.
